Wrap Up
The intent of these twelve questions is to provide a guide for project leaders. Hopefully these question simplify the work and reduce the friction that makes complex projects harder than they need to be.
Most projects are full of capable and committed people. They struggle when the purpose is unclear, risks don’t get talked about and as things drift, the way of operating doesn’t match the reality they face. Over time, this creates unnecessary complexity, drains energy, and slows progress.
Each question in this series targets a different source of that friction. Together, they provide a practical lens for sponsors and leaders who are accountable for change but aren’t embedded in the day-to-day delivery.
So it is all in one place, here is the list:
1. What problem are you trying to solve?
2. What defines done?
3. Who is accountable?
4. When will you see a result?
5. Are the right people in the room?
6. Is there a better way?
7. Why do this now?
8. What will surprise you?
9. How do you really know what’s going on?
10. Can you see the whole system?
11. Are you making it easy?
12. How do you show up?
I hope you found it useful. Feel free to drop me a note with any comments about how it could be improved or suggestions for things I have missed.
